DETAILED ITINERARY 

DAY 1

  • Pick up at 7:30am from your hotel or from the airport (with this tour you can land in Leticia on the same day, as long as you arrive before 2:00pm)

  • Visit Mundo Amazónico, a jungle tour trail in Leticia to walk the 4 trails of knowledge and learn about medicinal plants and trees, the natural products of the jungle, cultural villages of different indigenous tribes and a small aquarium to learn about the most important fish species below the Amazon River. 

  • Take a taxi to cross the official border between Leticia, Colombia, and Tabatinga, Brazil, to enjoy a typical Brazilian lunch

  • Visit the Comara Lookout Point to see the Amazon River from above as well as the border where Peru, Colombia and Brazil meet 

  • Spend the night in a treehouse either at Tanimboca Nature Reserve or Acapú Nature Reserve, where you will also enjoy a delicious dinner (please know there is no electricity and you can only take a small bag up to the treehouse) 

DAY 2

  • Breakfast at the reserve

  • 7:30am: pick you up from the nature reserve 

  • 9:00am you will take the speedboat 2 hours up the Amazon River to Marasha Reserve in Peru

  • Ecological trail (Walking or navigable trail in high waters).

  • Flora and fauna sighting.

  • Visit to the ceiba tree.

  • Sport fishing.

  • Kayak.

  • Ride in a canoe or wooden boat.

  • Unlimited consumption of liquids (water, juice of the day, coffee and aromatic).

  • Buffet lunch, dinner and breakfast (depending on the itinerary).

  • Zona hammock rest.

  • Night safari (Caiman watching).

  • Bird watching at sunrise.

  • Accommodation in cabins with private bathroom.

DAY 3

  • Enjoy breakfast at Marasha Reserve 

  • 10:20am Boat trip up the Amazon River from Marasha to the indigenous community of Mocagua, approximately a 2-hr trip

  • Lunch in the indigenous community of Mocagua

  • After lunch, visit the Maikuchiga Foundation in the indigenous community Mocagua to see different species of wild monkeys (boquiblanco, maicero, churuco), they are playful and you can feed them if you like

  • Take a private boat up to Puerto Nariño, a 1-hr trip, while sighting pink and gray dolphins

  • Have dinner in Puerto Nariño 

  • Spend the night in Puerto Nariño 

DAY 4

  • Breakfast in Puerto Nariño

  • Put on your boots and go on a hike in hilly jungle to visit Wochine Reserve, where you will see the pirarucu, the largest fish species in the Amazon, as well as caimans, dragonfish, and turtles

  • Go out by boat for another chance to see pink and gray dolphins in the Amazon River, their natural habitat.

  • Then travel by boat to the nearby Lake Yolvino to look for wild sloths, birds, and iguanas in their natural habitats. *During rainy season (December to June) you will also use traditional canoes to paddle by the river and into the flooded jungle. 

  • Return to Puerto Nariño for lunch 

  • Climb the lookout tower in Puerto Nariño for a panoramic view of the Amazon River and jungle

  • Try delicious homemade ice cream made from Amazonian fruits 

  • 3:30pm: take the speed boat back to Leticia, the tour ends at 5:30pm

  • One of our team members will pick you up at the port of Leticia, and take you to the center of Leticia

  • End of tour
